Your Roundup - January 24th⚡️

👋 Welcome back Reader

Sorry, where has this week gone?!

I feel like I blinked and it was suddenly Friday – not that I'm complaining!

Before you sign-off for the weekend, let's dive in to the latest news and updates...

🔥 Choosing the right social platform to focus on

While I sit fully on the "don't put all your eggs in one basket" camp, I do occasionally give advice to new creators or small business owners to initially focus on one platform so they don't run the risk of spreading themselves too thin.

With everything going on with social media right now, it can be hard to find the balance. Should you focus on one? Diversify with many? Use your "own land" so to speak and abandon the other platforms? Only you can answer that based on your brand, your audience and your goals.

If you're stuck and rethinking your content strategy for 2025, a great approach is picking a primary platform that you create for (I usually suggest your blog or YouTube to the longevity of content on these platforms) but it could also include Instagram or TikTok (now that social search is growing). And then repurposing this to create several other pieces of content for your secondary platforms.

How are you approaching content distribution this year?

Is it time to update your intro post on social media?

If it's been a while since you last shared an introductory post on social media to pin on your profile, then it might just be time to refresh it – especially if your content has changed, you have new milestones to share, or there's new products or services you offer.

📰 In the news

As we're now a couple of week into a new year, I'm curious - what is your brand or business goal for 2025?What milestone are you hoping to hit?

Hope you have a fantastic weekend, I'll see you next week!
