Building a website for your small business is a big milestone—but with so many moving parts, it can also feel completely overwhelming.

I’ve put together a step-by-step guide that walks you through the entire process, from planning your website to launching with confidence.

• Instagram is testing comment dislikes to combat negative interactions. They won’t show a dislike count nor will they show that you disliked a comment. Eventually, dislikes will affect the order of comments.
• Threads is adding the ability to limit post replies to your followers only
• Threads working on adding interests to your profile [via alex193a]
• TikTok is now back on the app stores​
• TikTok allows creators to decide to be featured in "Creators Spotlight"​
• TikTok begins laying off members of Trust and Safety Team​
• LinkedIn adds "email sends" and "email open rates" to newsletter analytics
• Bluesky adds reply controls (like on X and Threads) and profile search
• Facebook will now delete live videos after 30 days, users can download or transfer videos to save them

💭 From my desk

My business-related phrase for this year is "stop overthinking it"

In fact, I have right there on the side of my XOmisse HQ Notion page.

I used to publish 3+ articles a week for my own website, while juggling other commitments.

But as time passed and digital demand increased, it seemed more overwhelming and felt like way more pressure. It took forever to write, edit, design and publish.

This year I’ve taken the pressure off.

And so far, I’ve sent 7 newsletters and published 3 blog posts!

And in doing so, I’ve been able to create and publish much quicker. Somehow, my weekly email takes me less time than my monthly email used to!

All of this to say, my advice this week is this...

Write it, design it, create it, do it, publish it... whatever it is, stop overthinking it!
