The Roundup – June 2nd ⚡️

👋 Welcome back Reader

This week in The Roundup we're discussing:

→ A cheatsheet for the new Instagram sizes
→ The latest social media news
→ My TV series recommendations

Let's dive in...

📌 Instagram Image Size Guide 2025

You upload a square (1:1) or vertical (4:5) post on Instagram… then head to your profile and see it’s been cropped to 3:4.

Ugh. We’ve all been there.

The good news? Instagram finally supports the 3:4 aspect ratio for Feed posts. No more awkward cropping!

But with so many sizes floating around now, it’s hard to keep track. So here’s a quick breakdown of the latest Instagram image dimensions:

  • Square Feed Posts: 1080 x 1080 px (1:1)
  • Vertical Feed Posts: 1080 x 1350 px (4:5)
  • 🆕 Tall Feed Posts: 1080 x 1440 px (3:4)
  • Horizontal Feed Posts: 1080 x 566 px (1.91:1)
  • Stories: 1080 x 1920 px (9:16)
  • Reels & Covers: 1080 x 1920 px (9:16)

I've put it all into a PDF you can download below, in case you want to refer back to it later!

💭 From my desk

New month, new week – how are we almost halfway through the year?!

May had its challenges, I won’t lie, but I’m hopeful for June. We wrapped up a big launch at work last week (yay!) so it’s been non-stop lately. I’m also back working with a couple of freelance clients this week.

To escape the chaos, I’ve fully leaned into my TV obsession. I’ve been watching Forever, Sirens, Good American Family and The Better Sister. All so good and highly recommend if you're in need of a new show – or also escaping the chaos!

What are you working on at the moment? Hope you have a great week ahead.

Until next time,
Elaine XO
