The Roundup – June 13th ⚡️

👋 Welcome back Reader

This week in The Roundup we're discussing:

→ What to do if your website isn't converting
→ Rearranging your Instagram Grid
→ The best time to post on Threads

Let's dive in...

📌 Your website isn't converting...

You've put time and energy into your website. You're showing up online. You're even getting traffic… but you're not seeing the results.

Sound familiar?

I see this all the time but the good news is, it's fixable. Here are 5 reasons your site may not be converting and what to do about it!

1. Your messaging isn't clear

Within seconds of landing on your site, your audience should know who you help, what you offer and why it matters. If this isn't crystal clear, visitors will leave. Use a benefit-driven headline that speaks to your audience's biggest goal or problem. Keep your copy simple, conversational and focused on them.

2. There's no clear next step

People won't take action if you don't tell them what to do. A missing or vague call-to-action is one of the biggest missed opportunities I see. Guide your visitors through your site like a journey, adding one strong CTA per page.

3. The design is overwhelming

If your site feels cluttered, chaotic or outdated, people might assume your offer is too. Use visual hierarchy to draw attention to key info, stick to your visual brand identity and prioritise readability with enough white space. Your design should support your content, not compete with it.

4. It's not user friendly

If your site doesn’t load quickly or function properly (especially on phones), you're losing potential customers before they even see your content. Test your website on multiple devices and screen sizes. Compress images, reduce unnecessary scripts and simplify animations to keep things running smoothly.

5. There's no trust factor

Your visitors want to know they’re in the right place, that you understand them and that others have gotten results from working with you. Without that trust, they'll hesitate. Include testimonials, case studies and recognisable logos if you've worked with brands. Don't forget to add a photo of yourself or your team... people buy from people!

Not sure where to begin? I offer website audits to help you identify what's working, what's not and exactly what to improve for better conversions.

💭 From my desk

Hello from Dublin ☘️

Though by the time you read this, I'll be en route to Galway for a friend's hen weekend.

On the work front, it's been a quick but productive week. I've been working with two lovely clients and supporting bCreator on the Awards Shortlist, which is now live. I've got some availability for July, so if you need help with digital strategy or content, feel free to reach out.

I loved how many of you replied to my TV chat in the last email. Lately, I've been watching a lot on Apple TV: Hijack (highly recommend), Your Friends and Neighbours (light and entertaining) and Defending Jacob (only two episodes in but already hooked). Got any favourites I should add to my list?

That's it from me this week, have a wonderful weekend!

Until next time,
Elaine XO
